Each member plays a role in making your care as comfortable, convenient and successful as possible. Physicians
Angela Kokkosis, MD - Associate Professor of Surgery, is board certified in both vascular surgery and general surgery. Fluent in Spanish and Greek, Dr. Kokkosis clinical interests are all areas of arterial and venous surgery and her special research interest is women with peripheral artery disease (PAD). She serves as the Program Director of Vascular Residency, Director of the Carotid Interventions and the Co-Medical Director of the Non-Invasive Vascular Lab.
David Landau, MD - Assistant Professor of Surgery, is board certified in both vascular surgery and general surgery. Dr. Landau received his MD from SUNY Upstate Medical Center in 1990 and joined our faculty in the Vascular Surgery Division in 2009. His clinical interest is in all areas of arterial and venous surgery, using both conventional surgical techniques.
Lucyna Price, MD - Assistant Professor of Surgery, board certified in both vascular surgeon and general surgery. She is devoted to the lifelong care of her patients and their families from the prevention to the treatment of vascular disease. Dr. Price is dedicated to the highest level of vascular surgery, endovascular therapy, professional education, and clinical research. In addition to English, Dr. Price speaks fluent Polish and Spanish. She serves as the Director of the Stony Brook Hemodialysis Access Center.
Apostolos Tassiopoulos, MD - A Professor of Surgery, board certified in both vascular surgery and general surgery. He serves as the Department of Surgery Chairman, Chief of the Division of Vascular Surgery, Director of the Vascular Center and Co-Director of the Aortic Center.
Vascular Physiologist
Nicos Labropoulos, PhD, RVT, is a Professor of Surgery and Radiology at Stony Brook and the Director of the Vascular Laboratory. He has a major interest in pathophysiology, diagnosis and treatment of vascular diseases. He has more than 200 publications, has been cited over 7000 times and he has given over 1000 presentations around the world. He has edited 5 vascular textbooks and has contributed over 55 book chapters on the diagnosis and management of vascular diseases. He is a co-founder of the International Vascular Foundation, of the Institute of Vascular Diseases and Venous Health Foundation. Dr. Labropoulos speaks English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Greek.
